Montco was part of District-3 prior to 1970. (D-3: Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Lehigh, Lower Schuykill & Northampton Counties). From 1970-1982, Montco was part of District-6 (D-6: Delaware, Chester, Montgomery & Bucks Counties). District 14 became it's own ASA entity in 1982 (Montgomery County) and Charles Granese was the commissioner. From 1984-1995, District-14 had multiple "state qualifiers" for Class-C and Class-D teams and and sent teams directly to the Area/Sectional States where they had to finish in the top-4 to advance to the State Finals. Class-A and Class-B teams just went to the State Championships directly. Note-2: In 1995, the ASA of PA expanded the Class-C and Class-D State Finals to include the District Champs as well as the top-4 Area/Sectional State winners. Commissioners Charlie Granese and Sully Gelet revived the Montgomery County Championships in the form of The District 14 Championships. Montgomery County also had ASA Fast Pitch Championships from 1951-70. Check out the Norristown Softball Fast Pitch Page * In 2006, Tournament never completed due to rain.
